Effective Date: January 8, 2026
Welcome to ConsistencyForge. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.
By creating an account, accessing, or using ConsistencyForge (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes to data processing practices, we will provide notice as described in Section 12.
ConsistencyForge is a habit-building and accountability platform that helps users maintain consistency through commitment contracts. The Service includes:
You must be at least 18 years old to create an independent account ("Adult Account"). By creating an Adult Account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Users under 18 may only use the Service through a Minor Sub-Account created and supervised by a verified Adult Account holder (parent or legal guardian). Minors cannot create independent accounts. See Section 4 for details.
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:
We use passwordless authentication via magic links sent to your email. These links expire after 15 minutes and are single-use for security.
A "Minor Sub-Account" is an account for a user under 18 years of age that is created, controlled, and supervised by a verified Adult Account holder who is the minor's parent or legal guardian (the "Supervising Adult").
The Supervising Adult has full visibility and control over the Minor Sub-Account, including:
The Supervising Adult is solely responsible for the Minor Sub-Account, including ensuring compliance with these Terms, monitoring the minor's use of the Service, and exercising any privacy rights on behalf of the minor.
Important: Minor Sub-Accounts may be subject to profiling, gamification, and behavioral analysis as part of the Service's core functionality, under the supervision and with the consent of the Supervising Adult.
You may create commitment contracts specifying tasks you wish to complete regularly. Contracts may be:
No monetary stake required. Great for building habits with accountability.
Include a monetary stake to increase motivation and commitment.
You are expected to confirm task completion ("check-in") according to your contract schedule. Check-ins may be confirmed via:
Important: Check-in confirmation links expire 24 hours after the email is sent. Failure to check in within this period may result in the check-in being marked as missed.
If you miss a check-in without clicking "I Didn't Do It" (skip), your contract may be marked as failed. Failed contracts:
Shared commitments allow groups of users to hold each other accountable together.
Minor Sub-Account users may generate daily certificates confirming the completion of tasks assigned by the Supervising Adult. These certificates document task completion status, timestamps, and related progress data.
Certificates generated by a minor are automatically shared with and delivered to the Supervising Adult. This data sharing is a core functionality of the Service and enables parental oversight of the minor's activities and progress.
The Service may generate progress reports, analytics, and summaries for both Adult Accounts and Minor Sub-Accounts. For Minor Sub-Accounts, all reports are accessible to the Supervising Adult.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
When you create a paid contract, the monetary stake represents your commitment to completing the contract. This payment is:
General Policy: Contract stakes are generally non-refundable, as they represent a commitment you make to yourself. However, we may consider refunds in the following circumstances:
To request a refund, contact us at support@qmt.email within 14 days of the issue.
You may add additional monetary value to existing contracts at any time. This increases your stake and potential points earned.
Paid contracts for Minor Sub-Accounts may only be created and funded by the Supervising Adult. Minors cannot make payments directly.
You earn points for completing check-ins:
Points equal to your current streak (capped at 50)
Base points (contract value in dollars) plus streak bonus (capped at 50)
Streaks represent consecutive successful check-ins:
Your total points determine your rank within our gamification system. Different rank themes are available (Roman, Medieval, Samurai, etc.). You may appear on public leaderboards using your public name (a pseudonymous two-part name we generate for you).
Every 30 days of active contract participation constitutes a milestone. Milestone points are permanently preserved, even if your contract fails.
By using the Service, you consent to receive transactional emails including:
These are essential service communications and cannot be opted out of while using the Service. You may stop receiving emails by deleting your account.
You agree not to:

You may stop using the Service at any time. To close your account, contact us at support@qmt.email. If you are a Supervising Adult, terminating your account will also terminate any associated Minor Sub-Accounts.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination:
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union. For users in the United States, this does not affect your rights under applicable state consumer protection laws.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ConsistencyForge regarding the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This includes, without limitation, provisions relating to privacy, data processing, Minor Sub-Accounts, parental consent, and data sharing.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
